Book #1 from the series: Hostile Territory

Iroquois Awakening: Classic Western Adventure (Hostile Territory Book 1)

About

The Northwest Territory was a savage wilderness following the American Revolution. Settlers flocked to the region with the hope of beginning their lives anew. Only the brave and courageous survived.

Jamie Hawkins wasn’t sure if it was the slamming of the cabin door or the war cries of the hostiles outside that awakened him from a sound sleep. It took him a few moments to ask, “Where am I? What’s all the screaming about?”
There was no time for answers. Emily Laukhart handed him a flintlock rifle and ordered him to shoot to kill. Jamie looked out a gun port and suspected he was in the midst of a frontier re-enactment. As instructed, he aimed and pulled the trigger. He was horrified when blood exploded from the chest of a young brave. Jamie suddenly realized he was no longer on his grandfather’s farm in Ohio, where the only Iroquois Indians were imaginary enemies of his youth. This was real.
Hawkins mysteriously had been transported to the Northwest Territory of 1778 and fighting for survival alongside a woman he had never met before.
Jamie reloaded the flintlock, guessing he would face many more life-and-death situations before finding a pathway back to his home in the future. He took a deep breath and fired again.

This is book #1 in the Hostile Territory series.
